Welcome

Countries

Most countries around the world support Marine & Coastal Eco-Tourism and sustainable local community
development initiatives. As these countries come on-line and join with COMET to establish and promote `Best Practice`, so can a global system become available to identify operators and communities that support and adhere to these important tourism principles. Assist us in getting your country on-board by contacting us today. Read more >>>

Species

Coastal & Marine animal, bird, plant, fish and reptile species, together with their more famous land-based cousins, have long been the target for exploitation
by man. All the more important therefore is the development and support for non-consumptive targeting of these species through initiatives
such as controlled, regulated and sustainable Eco-Tourism and Community Development. The inhabitants of the seas (whales, dolphins, seals, sharks, turtles, fish and many more species), provide a fascinating aspect of our planet that only a privileged few ever get to see and experience - they deserve our protection.                        Read more >>>

Activities

With man’s quest for more exciting and diverse leisure activities, the coastlines and oceans of the world now provide unique, exhilarating and unusual
sports and activities for our enjoyment. Non-consumptive activities such as Whale & Dolphin Watching, pleasure cruises & boat trips, abseiling, sandboarding, diving, snorkeling, surfing and general leisure are becoming more popular. Recreational harvesting of marine resources by sports such as fishing and diving can also be sustainable provided they are properly controlled and regulated. Join us in exploring some of the exciting Marine & Coastal activities available in different parts of the world.
