Short Description

The lighthouse started out as a lattice structure in December 1969, but was rebuilt to the present concrete structure on 7 December 2000. The tower stands 23 metres high and has a focal plane of 34 metres above sea level.

Additional Info

The North and South Head lighthouses mark the entrance and approach to Saldanha Bay Port used as the large iron ore shipping terminal.
